Special Teams has been lacking for some time, even sucked under BK. What or who might turn that aspect of the game around and create opportunities for the defensive and offensive sides of the ball.
Could Frank Wilson possibly handle that role?

Why are we so obsessed with keeping Frank to our detriment? He doesn’t coach ST. He recruits and coaches RB’s and he has not performed well at either recently. I get that he’s a legacy guy, but if LK doesn’t think he’s a fit or if he turns down an off field role, let him go.

I wish people would STOP with the Frank Wilson coaching ideas. It's really getting old.

I’m not saying that Frank is the guy, but his loyalty and tenure over the years counts as something and his whole body of work deserves a look.
I to trust CLK will do exactly what he feels best for LSU football !!!

Overview of UTSA Special Teams Under Frank Wilson
Frank Wilson served as the head coach of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Roadrunners from 2016 to 2019. During his tenure, the special teams unit played a crucial role in the team's overall performance.
Key Aspects of Special Teams
Coaching Staff: The special teams were coordinated by Ricky Brumfield, who also served as the tight ends coach. His leadership was vital in developing the special teams players.
Performance: The special teams unit contributed significantly to field position and scoring opportunities. They executed various plays, including kickoffs, punts, and field goals, which were essential in close games.
Notable Players: Several players on the special teams made impactful contributions, including kickers and return specialists. Their performances often influenced the outcomes of games, especially in tight matchups.
Achievements
Bowl Game Participation: In 2016, under Wilson's leadership, UTSA reached the New Mexico Bowl, marking the first bowl appearance in the program's history. The special teams played a role in securing this achievement through effective execution in critical moments.
Recruiting: Wilson's recruiting efforts helped bring in talented players who contributed to the special teams. His focus on building a strong roster included identifying athletes capable of excelling in special teams roles.
Overall, the special teams under Frank Wilson were a vital component of the UTSA Roadrunners' strategy, contributing to the team's successes during his four-year tenure.

He doesn’t coach ST.

He coached special teams for 3 years at Ole Miss under head coach Ed Orgeron. He coached wide receivers for one year at Tennessee under head coach Lane Kiffin.

I doubt he does either for LSU.

This Is LSU of the SEC. FW's "Loyalty and Tenure" don't mean jack shite and his "Whole body of Work" doesn't deserve any look. He has no ST experience and he's not very good at all as a RB Coach. Time to move on. "Used Car Salesmen" that can't effectively coach their position athletes are no longer needed. Adios Amigo. Farewell & Adieu.

I’d trade Frank Wilson to Texas for coach Chris, that’s for sure.
