Sick of Salty Ole Miss

These team’s new coaches HAD to leave their current teams before signing day: LSU, Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Missouri, Penn State,Tulane, etc.
Ole Miss was not the ONLY one.
Tulane is in the playoffs too and their coach took the Florida job.
The big difference?
Tulane AD let the coach stay and coach their team, even knowing he was going to take players and coaches with him.
Ole Miss fans say Lane abandoned the team. He asked the AD to let him coach in the playoffs and they refused.
They didn’t mention that at all. You don’t own coaches.
He was never going to stay there for 10 years.
Coaches move around. 5 SEC teams have new coaches in the last two weeks.
They should Focus energy on the team in the playoffs instead of a smear campaign.
I get they are upset and have a right to be, but chill out a bit and be grateful that Lane stayed 6 years and brought the team back to a winning team…*plus allowed Charlie Weis to go back and help!….”Sick of Salty Ole Miss”

They aren't as insufferable as Notre Dame.

Yet here you are on an internet message board discussing them. You get the irony, right?

Chill dude, it's going to be ok
Just think, OM new coach just said the game against Tulane is the biggest game in history for OM. Let that sink in, a first round playoff game against a bad team is the biggest game in OM history.

It’s gonna be really ugly when we go there next year. I might try to make that road trip.

Ole Miss is the Oakland A's of the SEC.
Kiffin was the Billy Bean of college coaches always having to figure out how to do more with less.
Imagine how Kiffin felt standing on the side lines in Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa , Athens and College Station and seeing the massive resources those schools had and knowing he would never have the same at Ole Miss.
Trev Albert was right when he said "Ole Miss is the RUNT of the SEC."
Lanes decision to leave was not a spur of the moment thing it was something that happened over years. He just got tired of trying to break through a stone wall with a rubber hammer.
The blame for his depature has to fall on Keith Carter.
Keith Carter through laziness or incompetence or both failed to elevate the resources at Ole Miss to put his school on even footing with the top tier schools in the SEC. He had years to try and expand the booster base, raise more money, to create a vision of a bigger better version of what they were. He never did.
Maybe it was mission impossible and they could never get there but he failed at his primary job which was to keep Kiffin happy. Kiffin was the best coach in the history of Ole Miss, all Carter had to do was stay ahead of all the other teams who would come after him by whatever means necessary.
When push came to shove Carter responded with deadlines and ultimatums when he should have responded with a blank check. But that's the real problem there was no blank check, the commitment was always limited by Ole Miss own inborn limitations. Keith Carter by his own actions and failures pushed Lane out the door and straight to Ole Miss biggest rival,
Col Reb is crying, and he should because next year is back to square one for the Rebels. Same as it ever was.

Truth to everything you said!… in regards to my post , I have been very kind and sensible with any comment regarding the whole situation and Ole Miss fans will not be even close to rational, especially on Twitter! It’s just been constant bashing of LSU & Lane for over a week! They can be bitter, but I’m moving on to a wonderful next season! #geauxtigers
