Will make the defense even better. It’s all coming together. Can’t wait for the portal.

They did well against that offense with a QB that couldn’t throw the ball downfield for one of the worst offenses in the last 50 years.
I think Baker did just fine. Defense wasn’t the issue.

Need a lot of practice…he gave up almost 500 yards to them this year…although only 24 pts.

Good thing points matter more than yards.

OP is saying Baker can learn from Kiffin now… after BK was fired, Baker asked for more looks in practice to help his defense

They learned that they were going to be on the field. A lot.

Lane will have to bring in some new guns to get to what he is expecting from them. His play calling for our team would not have drastically changed the season based on our players abilities. Unless he would get 150% from everyone on that OL and QB play.

What I’m saying is Kiffin hasn’t “dominated” Baker’s defense so he really needs to learn how to stop a running QB by having LBs learn eye discipline.
With an injured Nuss and ZERO offense, it was 17-13 at the start of the 4th.

frick this bullshite. Poor coaching and development are the problem here, not a lack of talent.

A big issue vs Ole Miss, Vandy, and A&M was not having Whit at full strength, or at all. We need some development with the young LBs and more consistent play at Star. Keeping him healthy next season will be huge.

That's so easy to say when we couldn't hold a high school OL at times. We lacked talent in places, we lacked desire to win at times, we lacked good play calling at many times, but we needed better players in a lot of places.
