That's an old article from 12/07. Still impressive givin the small population here in LA.

I was thinking, "Where are Texas, Notre Dame & Fla?" & I googled this.

Here's a more recent list; still very respectable.

VERY respectable! I just glanced at it but I'm more interested from a biz perspective in the right column. Looks like LSU has a pretty good profit margin. Auburn looks to have a fairly high profit margin as well. Nice to see that LSU football can pay for the other sports that don't generate any revenue. Again I glanced at the article so I didn't see if the profits include LSU approved apparel and souveniers?

Thanks for posting this!

so the first link was from 12/07 and we wer #1.

the second article was entitled "most valueable teams going in to 2008" and we are #6.

isnt that the same time period.

clearly, lsu is getting the most bang for the buck out of all the teams. the only other teams close would be florida and socal.

the first link brought you directly to LSU's profile. There were several teams before them in that article.

Actually the first link and second link are both results of the same Forbes report. LSU is No. 6, behind Florida, Michigan, Georgia, Texas, and No. 1 Notre Dame.

But, still a very good value ranking.
