Baker needs to do what's best for him, just like Kiffin did.

I dont see how he turns it down if it is offered to him. Or turns down the memphis job

It's recent which is the only reason why I shared it. So maybe things are looking up for keeping him around as DC.

If offered Baker should definitely take the Tulane job
That's a great proving ground job in a conference you can win games in and without as much pressure

If, as it has been reported, LSU is matching or beating the compensation he would get at Tulane or Memphis, P4 DC is just as legitimate a path to P4 head coach as G5 head coach is.

I don't disagree, Tulane is a clear jumping point to a P4 job. And I have little doubt in Bakers ability to transition to HC. But this saga can't go on past the early signing period and cost LSU these defensive recruits because they don't know who their position coaches will be.

Tulane (or Baker - wherever the hold up is ) gotta shite or get off the pot.

I think he was fishing for clicks. Just my opinion.

It would suck to lose him, but there’s no way he stays if offered the Tulane job. I wouldn’t blame him either.

The rumor is baker/tulane are at an impasse on budget money but he wants the job. This is probably his agent putting pressure back on Tulane to cave and give him what he wants.

I believe its viewed more favorably showing you can run a whole program. Looks better on paper however coordinators are highly regarded for sure. Tulane is a great first HC gig that could lead to top 5 offer

Agreed, but I bet the salary is pretty comparable to Memphis, but Fed Ex dumped a shite ton of money into football.
