We waited with baited breath and flights trackers for Lane to get here. Now he is here.
The signing period is not over. LSU has signed relatively few. Buy we promised millions. Which means we likely wont have a big HS class. The portal will get us jacked!!
In next years cycle, we begin to dominate.
Like everyone else, I understand that we weren’t in the best position going in. But oh baby. The future is bright.

Honestly, it’s a coach transition year. We probably don’t have a DC. New coaches are going to be everywhere. A lot of unsure things everywhere. People melting are insane imo. The guy has been here a few days. It’s wild.

Well it’s time to sh*t or get off the pot. We gave Lane the highest NIL money of any team in college football and the 2nd highest salary.

Our class is 2nd in per player grade. Meaning USC signed 35 kids. If we signed 24 at that grade per player we would be #1. Quality over quantity.

I do to. It would be a pretty bad look for Lamar to be the leader of the '26 class at LSU and welcome Lane the night he gets in town only to turn his back on the University and state you said you loved.

I'm not sure why LSU or anyone else would pay a King's ransom for a true freshman, History and probabilities show that true freshmen rarely dominate in college and are usually decent contributors at best.
In a day and age where pare only here for one or maybe two very effective years, why not spend the bulk of your money on developed products instead of raw materials. Spend greatly on second or third year players from the portal that have a proven record and a ready to go producers.

There needs to be a cap on true freshman. These guys are going to get a bunch of money and a lot of them aren't going to pan out. Boosters will get sick of it and stop throwing bags at high school kids. I think as we go along with this portal players will get more money in the end. Spending that kind of money you want a proven commodity, not a fart in the wind or a poke and hope.
