Thoughts on the album? I personally think it’s good hunting camp background music, but they seem to be writing the same song over and over at this point. Maybe it’s Sam Canty’s voice, but it’s all starting to sound the same to me.

I saw them at the Farewell Festival in Oregon this summer. High energy band that tries to put on a good show. Problem is they are not that good and, as you say, every song sounds pretty much the same. No wonder my 15yo daughter likes them..

Outro (made me laugh)
Do feel like their music is starting to get a little repetitive as well, think that is a valid critique.
Love the amount of Midwest Emo guys they brought around for this. Seeing Tades from Hot Mulligan and Koe Wetzel in the same music video was mind blowing. Seeing the intro having someone from Ben Quad almost gave me a heart attack.

I like them... but they're really trying to hone in on the "druggie country band" niche. Like... I get it. You're white trash and do drugs and frick women who are also white trash and do drugs.
It might have just been because we were in the car when we listened first... but the mixing on this album sounded like absolute shite to me as well.
That being said, I do like them despite all I just wrote.

I like Misery, but I like Muscadine Bloodline as well. Blue Star sounds like a song about the Dallas Cowboys. Port A and West Texas Degenerate are designed for turtle box speakers and hunting camps.
