What happened to sky writing?

Chem trail conspiracies aside, when u was a wee lad growing up in Monroe I swear in the summer almost every day I could run outside and see words being written with contrails.
Was it just my imagination or was this a much bigger thing back in the 70s and 80s?

I don’t remember words but definitely multiple trails across the sky.

The chemical used to make aviation smoke, Systoval, is only made at a plant in Ukraine. The price was already through the roof before Russia invaded.

I remember it on the gulf coast in the 90s.

I like to completely make shite up once in a while too. Sometimes it works better than others.

Unless someone else has started making it, I'm 99% sure the only place Systoval is made is Usvek, Ukraine.
If I'm wrong, please enlighten me with your superior knowledge of aviation grade pyrotechnics.

Sometimes I like to double down on my bullshite too!
Everyone knows the smoke is aerosolized paraffin and nothing more.
We used to make Systoval here at the Hebertville plant near Bullshitistan in LaForffricksake parish but it was closed after the Pogey boat intrusion of 1997.

How hard is it to learn cursive? A couple of days?

Wtf is your problem? Yes the main ingredient is parrifin but the ignition accelerant is Systobol, an ultra-stable nonexplosive compound.
You think they just dump little particles of parriffin out the back of the plane and it ignites itself?
Idiot. fricking idiot

I don’t believe that I’ve ever seen words written in the sky. Only in movies.

I only recall sky writing at air shows or events. Planes towing advertising banners were much more popular especially at the beach.
