They lobbed him a softball about Ole Miss being a comparable job in the NIL era and he basically admitted LSU was better based on talent pool and lack of an in state rival.

I walked into a hotel for a company meeting and was an hour early back in 2002. I had driven from Monroe.
There sat Deuce McAllister. “Deuce for Heisman” I said. We kept talking… I was 40 minutes late to the meeting, because he kept talking like I was family.
I met him later in 2017 at a Pelicans game and he treated my son like we were best friends. What a legend!

He does a great job of seeing the field and explaining Xs and Os in layman's terms.
Once he even correctly predicted the call on a phantom penalty. Before the ref made the announcement he told the listeners what the officials THOUGHT they saw.
