Doesn’t even seem like he’s getting interviews for any of these jobs, including Tulane. Still a lot of dominos to fall, but he’s been Kirby’s right hand man for like a decade and crickets. Wonder if there’s fear he lacks any autonomy with Kirby still heavily involved.

The shine has come off now that he doesn’t have a two deep of first round draft picks on the dline

UGA's defense took a step back when he was made full time DC.

I think people believe it was Kirby and Lanning as the rockstars and Schumann isn't special.

Their defense doesn’t suck by any stretch, but it isn’t as dominant as it once was. I guess that has caused some hesitation with some P4s, because he shares the same development path as Lanning and has spent all of his time at Bama and UGA during title runs and wins.

He may be holding out for a P4 job rather than entertaining G5 offers, because some of them have to have reached out to him at some point.

It looks like Kirby runs the defense when you watch UGA.

The starting defense only has two seniors on the two-deep, and they are DBs.

Or, may be he is just looking for the right opportunity and Toolame, UK, etc. is not the opportunity he desires.

He would still interview even if he had no intention of taking those jobs.

Hard to know how much is him when Kirby, Lanning, and Muschamp were around. The defense has slowed down some since Lanning left. But he has been under the 2 best program builders of the modern era his entire career. Definitely seems like a safe option that could make the jump from coordinator to HC
