Everyone is jumping at the chance to get a hot take, get the clicks/views up. This time next year, when LSU starts off 6-0, everyone will be singing praises on what a transformative hire this was.
Let them have their fun, you enjoy this offseason.

Anyone worried about media reactions needs to go change their tampon. The media in this country is an absolute joke.
Good thing we have an awesome Govnah!

Kiffin will keep receipts. Kelly said he was, but Kiffin can be so petty he will retweet and reshare articles from this week in the middle of next season.

We'll, I wasn't going there, but fine: lol:
I listened to the first bit of the Bill Simmons pod with McShay and Van today, McShay said how this happened is very similar to how we got Kelly, pulling a coach from a team in the midst of a playoff appearance, that team promoting their DC to HC. Biggest difference is from the beginning, Kelly was a bad fit for LSU. Lane really feels like a match made in heaven. Now he has to deliver because it's all set up for him.

Not sure if it got posted here, but there is a CBS article on how this all went down. A while back, Lane and the Florida had a conversation that didn't go well. Stricklin was put off by Kiffin's immaturity and pettiness. Fast forward to this hiring cycle, Stricklin vetted Kiffin with people who knew him, to see if he had changed, and whatever they said was enough for Stricklin to go after him again. So I thought that was good to hear.
The dealbreaker with Kiffin was Stricklin wanted to bring on a NFL caliber GM who wouldn't report to Kiffin, only the AD. That was a dealbreaker. Lane thought Stricklin was going to meddle too much.
