Baker caught a lot of shite this year that felt pretty misguided because of everyone’s rightful frustration towards BK and the state of the program, but that guy single handedly saved our season and the fact that we finished with 7 or 8 wins is nothing short of a miracle given how atrocious the offense was.

I think most impressive was his ability to keep the defense emotionally invested and playing with fire when we had the softest, most milquetoast, disconnected, disinterested HC imaginable and the single worst offense I’ve ever seen at LSU. That speaks volumes to his character and ability to lead IMO

Our offensive rankings are:
Scoring- 117
Total- 119
YPP- 107

On the flip side, Baker had all 3 of those metrics sitting at::
Scoring- 15
Total- 15
YPP- 15

…with absolutely nothing to play for.

This was a national championship defense and one of the best coaching performances I’ve ever seen as an LSU fan. He was really the difference between 7-5 and a historically bad 1-11 or 2-10 type season and I don’t think that can be overstated. Whether he stays or goes that was a huge contribution to the program and its national perception

The only shite Baker caught was from morons on this board. Everyone with a brain realized he did a great job and the numbers back it up.

There were plenty idiots on here that wanted Jayden Daniels benched. You cant judge the actual perception of someone based off of the Rant. This place is filled with complete braindead morons.

Baker’s defense kept us in a lot of games we had no business being in because of how shite the offense was (Saturday comes to mind). Hopefully he stays on for Kiffin. He’s a fantastic DC.

I definitely appreciate Baker. The defense wasn't the problem this year, we held Oklahoma to 17, Alabama to 20, and Ole Miss to 24. But we lost them all because the offense couldn't support them. Hopefully Kiffin keeps Baker, that side of the ball did things right.

Looks like Baker was showing some of the coaches around that Kiffin brought with him. Imagine Kiffin's offense with Baker's defense. Oh my! I'm getting excited just hope Baker doesnt take a HC job anywhere.

Of course the defense wasn't perfect by any means but the first step to a great defense is an offense that can keep the ball and give the defense rest + put points on the board.

We've seen enough to know that (while not perfect), Baker did a more than adequate job leading the defense. The offense absolutely did nothing to help their defense out

The whole "he can't stop running QB's" is overplayed.

Maybe they ran because his scheme confused them into leaving the pocket. Perkins was supposed to combat that, I guess based on one great game against Arkansas his freshman year.

Who can stop them 100% of the time? That’s why they’re the hot hand right now. Hell, Jayden Daniels made BK look like a superstar
