Cutting Kamara, Ruiz or Werner next season will actually cause a bigger cap hit because their contracts are so back loaded. Letting Gaudchaux go saves less than a mill. Loomising!

Hill, Davis and Jordan will all be free agents next season. They each also have $10M+ cap hits next season. Loomising!

overpriced vets
Think about what you just said. Fans never seem to understand how valuable vets are to helping young players develop. Do you know Whois overpriced? Our head coach who is no offensive imagination, and he’s a horrible play caller. Our vets are actually keeping the locker room from tuning him out.

This would be a valid argument if a coach's salary had anything to do with the makeup of a team.

I could see Loomis doing a mini Johnson extension for all 3 of them. If you have them on the books for 10 mil each next season, sign them to a 2 year extension for low dollars, spread it out, and let Jordan and Hill continue to play a part time role.

Davis might still be our best player, so who knows what to do with him.

you could have Parcels, Shula , Belichik all in their prime coaching together and you still aren’t winning with this talent. Kellen has got these guys competing he’s definitely the right coach. I say next year 6-8 wins. Year three he will have us in the playoffs

That’s Payton’s culture still impacting the locker room.

Werner's contract is a little different. The issue with his contract is his entire salary, $6.25M, is guaranteed. Cutting Werner adds $4M to the books, if the salary wasn't guaranteed it would save $2.2M. Which is not bad considering he just signed the contract

Cutting Ruiz adds $2.6M to the books because of the can kicking
Cutting AK saves $360k because of the can kicking (should be more)

The 3 year culture of DA took care of all that.
