One of the key plays of the game was the crazy deflection by Payton I think it was of a Mateer pass that went across the field right into Perkins hands. To his credit, he caught it. To his discredit how on the planet earth didn't he make it a pick 6. Mateer was the only OU player who had a shot at him and definitely an angle, but MY GOD, I thought Perkins was faster than that. Mateer has a LITTLE above speed for a QB but Marcel Reed, he ain't. Perkins should either have outrun him or cut back inside.

LSU STILL should have scored if they had a HS caliber QB who can simply loft a simply pass like Z Thomas did later in the game. Sharp was wide open in the end zone and Martin (yes I'm calling him that until he shows me he can play QB) Van Buren threw it right into the OU guy. LOFT the pass...it is an EASY pass than most HS QBs can make. And he wasn't under pressure either as he had rolled out. And as the announcers said, he probably could have run it in himself. As I stated last week, MVB has 0 football instincts...and I mean ABSOLUTE 0! LSU has to get a QB out of the portal since MVB simply isn't a starting caliber QB in FBS.

Perkins is the laziest player we have. He could have easily scored, but tried to outrun everyone. When he realized he couldn't, he didn't even try to vary his speed to cut back. He also blew multiple defensive plays later in the game where he gave minimal effort.

MVB should not have floated that pass, he should have kept and tried to score. It was 1st down, you don't throw into traffic like he did. He proved how scared he was later i the game with the slide when all he needed was to drop his shoulders and try to get the first.

Perkins should have scored, but Mateer is pretty damn fast actually.

Every week there is at least 1 play where the commentators are questioning how he didn’t close out on a tackle. There’s usually several plays fans point out of him not even trying, and that’s just the obvious stuff you can see from the broadcast, not the all 22. He’s really a waste

Perkins should he embarassed with his effort on the tackle he pulled up on. He is doing this nearly every game at this point.

Perkins is killing his draft stock with his low effort tackling.

Not a bad offensive roster. Just a terrible misuse of the talent.

AA was the only wr we had worth a damn. O line sucked across the board. TE ? Bauer was bad. QB ? We know it was bad all season but even worse with MVB. That looks like a bad offensive roster to me.
