Kiffin seems like he’ll be getting MORE money than BK. Where is the ‘too much money’ crowd now? Did they crawl into a hole?

Gov Landry literally said “we will pay any amount of money as long as it’s the right guy.”

They spun his words out of context, when in reality all he was talking about was the huge buyouts and making sure taxpayers wouldn’t be on the hook for that.

He was clearly talking about huge buyouts, which Kiffin criticized the very same day.

Landry never cared about money. He just wanted to fire Woodward.

Comical that he was preaching about how terrible guaranteeing a coach $9 million/yr was and LSU next hire will cost them $4-5 million more per year

Guvnuh was at a ULL game yesterday. Exactly where he should be, all things were right in the world.

Here's the thing, conceivably the state meaning LSU as an institution could be on the hook. Not that it would happen, but I could see a scenario. But it would have to be a perfect storm.

Next step is private equity in P5 programs.

Congratulations, this round of coach deals will finally financialize and corporatize college football when all said and done.

Like a politician, he said that after he initially put his foot in his mouth about the previous contract, citing that taxpayers were responsible for the contract. I don't know why anyone is trying to carry water for the inept way Landry inserted himself in this.

They're trying to say Landry is the reason why this all happened.

Not defending Landry, but he was upset with the buyouts not the actual salaries being paid.
