I remember the days when we would joke around about Gruden, Kiffin, Bellichick, Tomlin, etc

can't believe we're actually landing one of these perennial big names

Maybe we’ll get lucky like North Carolina.

LSU did this 4 years ago. It didn’t go great.

Landing a big name with a checkered past will be interesting especially one named Kiffin.
Who is willing to start a Kiffin’s Kajun Korner segment?
Hopefully, LSU has some sort of morals clause in the contract in case Kiffin starts dating a Golden Girl or female athletic staff member.
Also hopefully there are performance requirements in the contract if the contract is as long as BK’s contract. That way if the Lane Train gets derailed in year 3 or 4 we can pull the plug and fire the bum with no further payments. Otherwise LSU may have two deadbeat coaches on the payroll while we search for a third new head coach.

No one thought Kelly was a home run hire except Woodward.

That’s absurd. Poaching the winningest active coach in college football from Notre Dame who had been to a natty and another playoff was a home run.
Nobody saw it coming but the general consensus after the hire was made was excitement because there was finally going to be an adult in the building, we just didn’t know it was paw paw who enjoys his naps, playing golf and hanging out like he lives in a Miami Beach retirement community

Congrats on landing a narcissistic douchebag who's never won anything & left a wake of destruction everywhere he's been.

This is a Home run hire? Has LK ever even won a conference championship??

“Winningest” just means he’s been around a long time. Nobody thought Kelly was a home run. When his name came up in the search discussions it was considered more like a fall back plan.
