Considering the announcement will be that he's extended his contract at OM, I don't see why LSUs game time will have anything to do with his announcement.

The president and AD are both in OK. They will want to do a formal intro once everyone is in town. Not some half arse press release.

Actually, it would make sense to make the announcement DURING the game, maybe even at halftime as another poster suggested. You have the attention of the entire fan base and it would give the program some much needed momentum.

In 2025 you're not keeping this a secret until Lane walks on stage somewhere in Baton Rouge, a formal announcement can be made with the presser to follow at a more convenient time for all involved

I agree on leaks. But everyone expecting a LSU press conference will be waiting until tomorrow or Monday
