Yes. Then he sucked at aggy. Transferred and has been decent.

His mom is from West Monroe but that may have been the only tie to Louisiana he had?

His Dad coached at Ouachita in the late 90s before he was born

His dad was long time coach at Longview, TX. A&M tried to use him as a true pocket passer iirc, and that’s just not what he is. He’s had a lot of success at GT, and will probably get some looks at the next level. He’s the reason I’m not high on Brent Key. I want to see what he looks like without King.

He stayed injuries. Broke his leg 2nd game and never could recover, one injury after another.

His dad is coach John king . He is from springhill La. And played Oline at Nwestern

Pat Collins . He then followed coach Collins to Longview also , He is from springhill La. All state in football , state champion powerlifter, state champion discus / track . Went started for 3 yrs at Nwestern ( Demons) off line . All conference.

Phenomenal guy!! I coached w him for 4 yrs in Texas . He followed Pat Collins to ouachita , then Longview. Absolutely one of the best coaches I’ve ever coached with . Aka “City !
