Lane announces he's coaching us this coming year tomorrow.
The ball is in Ole Miss court to let him coach the rest of the way
It was already said LSU was ok with letting him do this.
Ole Miss is forced to either let him finish the season, or not. Either way, he's not the villain.

If he leaves, he’s the villain to most everyone outside of BR.

Ole Miss would be retarded to not let him.

So they won’t let him.

Yes, PR wise, if Kiffin says he is coaching LSU after this season and LSU says publicly they’d be willing to let him coach the playoffs, and OM doesn’t allow it, the media can’t complain. And it would be OM fault.

That would be Ole Miss for giving him an ultimatum and making that statement last Friday.

Yes. Lane cares what the perception of him is. He doesn’t want to be hated. Been there done that.

This is a FACT.
The main stream sports media are going to roast him nonstop. For some reason, they hate LSU. They hated when Kelly left Notre Dame for LSU, they hated LSU for firing Kelly. It’s “no win” for LSU until the media has to kiss our arse (2019).

When/if he stays, he and Ole Miss will become the darlings of college football. Until Ole Miss dips in performance, then he’ll be a heel again.
