Is the Big 6 now the Big 10?

Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
Manchester City
Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur
Aston Villa
Everton
Newcastle United
West Ham United
Obviously the lower 4 are catching up financially, and Newcastle will be there before any of them (obviously), but the way I see it is the PL has an established Big 10 now.
X/various social media followings prove that. After these, it's a big drop-off. (Leicester City is a bit of an outlier having one that one PL season and got a huge bump in following after that).
Ex-PL yo-yo sides Norwich City and Watford are both just under 900K X followers.

Maybe big 7 with Newcastle but including Villa, Everton, and West Ham is laughable
Hell Big 6 is laughable with Spurs included

Spurs kind of (sort of) prove my point in this topic. They aren’t big 6 for club success, but what? Financial and international presence?
It’s clear the 4 bottom clubs I listed are in a tier their own than the rest of the PL.

what? They win a secondary domestic cup and they’re in the “big club” now?
If Spurs can be in without much [recent] success, so can Newcastle.

I don’t know how Spurs got in that conversation.

Not really, there are a lot more competitive teams top to bottom for sure, but there is definitely still a ceiling. The PL FFP/PSR rules have had the opposite effect of what I think they were intended to do. The smaller clubs who have new ownership for example aren’t allowed to spend money their billionaire owners clearly have because they aren’t getting that +100m from champions league spots, nor do they have the ability to make the gains in commercial revenue such as United, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc..so they are forced to sell their academy players for pure profit or their best players just to fall in line. You can see how thats counterproductive.
Obviously there should be financial controls to offset some sketchy disaster, but make them less restrictive.

It’s the way of the world and Wolves is finding this out… what got a team into the Premier League will not keep them there a decade without improvement… you can’t just hope the promoted teams always suck because sometimes they don’t
