Pick your favorite OC of these 4

Colin Klein (A&M)
Will Stein (Oregon)
Brian Hartline (OSU)
Buster Faulkner (GT)
If Kiffin falls thru this is where we need to look imo. The "Experienced HC" guys are all underwhelming.
If I were choosing an OC I'd probably rank them
1. Stein
2. Klein
3. Hartline
4. Faulkner
But as an HC it's a bit different. I guess Hartline is probably the safest - maybe better recruiter, been around a major program for a long time. Or perhaps Faulkner with his ability to develop QBs - made Stetson Bennett into a 2x NC QB, currently helping Haynes King make a huge jump, also familiar with the southeast

None of them need to be the head coach at LSU dipshit

The "no coordinator" cult needs to die. Why limit yourself to HC's that aren't coming or tired retreads? There are coordinators who are ready to step up, it's the AD/hiring committees job to find him. I guess the ADs that hired Smart, Day, Freeman, Lanning, Pete Carroll, Barry Switzer, etc, etc were dipshits.

What about Shanahan at Indiana?

I don't know much about him but I'm all ears. I'd much rather take a chance on someone like that than someone like Sumrall or Riley

I think Klein used to be HC at KState correct? His offense/team is at least physical. I wouldn't mind him...

No none of these guys have college HC experience. I'll add that Stein has had Oregon playing pretty physical this year. They're a bit different than the typical Oregon team. But he's very inexperienced

One Coach Klein won a Natty at a Louisiana University, so you'd expect the 2nd would as well!

From the current top 12 CFP rankings, the HC from these schools had no prior HC experience when they were hired:
#1 - Ohio State
#4 - Georgia
#5 - Oregon
#7 - Texas Tech
#8 - Oklahoma
#9 - Notre Dame
#11- BYU
#12 - Vandy
So 8 of the top 12 went with the coordinator rate
