Synchronicity

I don't have any idea which job Lane K. will have next year, but the man gives off a Steve Spurrier vibe to me--offensive genius, unusual communication habits that some find abrasive and others endearing and in my head Spurrier goes with Florida.
Kiffin has said outright that he wants to be like Spurrier and that Spurrier is his hero.
Which reminds me that Spurrier was almost the LSU coach and had a handshake agreement to take the job which he backed out of to go to Florida.
There is a synchronicity about today's Spurrier choosing between Florida and LSU. If he picks Florida, it is history rhyming. If he picks LSU, it is an old handshake fulfilled.
p.s. edit. I vaguely remembered the Spurrier thing and asked an AI to tell me this story and the above is what it said. So if I got something wrong, I apologize.

Nope. LSU backed out and hired Archer upon Arnspargers recommendation. Spurrier ended up at Duke. Then Arnsparger became the AD at Florida and hired Spurrier.

Well, if he has Spurrier-type success here, he will definitely have earned his contract....unlike BK.
I truly hope he comes closer to Saban-like success. I am ready to see LSU get back to our 2003-2011 glory days. Dominating defenses adding in some Lane offense. If so, we win multiple nattys.

I hope he also follows the Spurrier trajectory of ending his coaching career at a second rate program where he doesn't mind being drunk at press conferences.

Allegedly.

Spurrier owned the SEC and nation when at FL. The guy was a riverboat gambler with a mind for offenses.
LK is the second coming of Spurrier.
