The magic would be if Blake Baker could ever stop a running QB. Fortunately, the WKU wasn't much of a runner. Mateer is shifty and reasonably clever when he runs but isn't a speed burner by any stretch. Running wise, he is a poor man's Jackson Arnold.

Blake really needs to learn from Pete how to stop a running QB whether he stays or goes. We haven't sone that in years now.

Sounds like a nightmare to me. Kiffin and Baker together is guaranteed to be a complete disaster. Kiffin doesn't know how to win championships and Baker doesn't know how to stop a running QB!

Do you think that’s how Blaker designed that? Or could it be that with some key injuries and the season’s goals out of reach, that the guys on that screen weren’t in the positions they were supposed to be, lacked the athleticism, discipline, or understanding, or just effort to be where he wanted them?
Either way, one example is not enough. His defense is one that takes chances that lead to TFLs, stuffed runs at the LOS, but with the occasional big play given up if the right call is made by the opposing OC.
It’s hard to shut consistently shut down mobile QBs. That’s why they’re so valuable. Name all the DCs that do it on the reg.

Yes I’d love to keep the defense staff just like it is jot going to happen. Wherever Kiffin goes theres a good chance he takes Pete Golding with him. That puts us in 3-4 D next year or really a 3-3-5. I firmly believe LSU is a 4-3 style team.

Won’t happen LKis about to get his brother Chris paid.Horrible hire but as fans we will have to live with it.When he fails and he will ,LSU will have to eat his multimillion dollar contract when he gets demoted.Facts man just the facts.
