Pulling everything left

Striking the ball better than I ever have but a high percentage of my shots (longer irons, driver are pulled dead left. Trying to swing more inside out which seems to help but can’t totally figure it out. What gives?

Coming over the top resulting in outside to in path.
ETA: Can result in a pull or a slice depending on club face.

I’d be willing to bet there’s a hair of early extension right before impact causing you to flip it closed… probably the most common swing flaw for amateurs. Even really good players can struggle with it and it can be very subtle. When I’m swinging really well this can creep into my swing. Practice some shoulder to shoulder swings with a 7 or 6 iron keeping your arm and wrist structure intact.

Towel under right armpit. You are disconnected from ur body on downswing and coming over top . Those always result in great contact and pulls.

Try standing on the other side of the ball...

I get get great contact with this drill and still pull the ball about 20% of the time. You also need to get proper timing on closing the face. Too early and I'll get a hell of a pull off a double cross if I'm lucky. A snap hook more likely though. I am just starting to try to get rid of the over the top, so my timing is not where it needs to be.

check your grip and ball position before making any swing changes.

^^^ YES ^^^
Solid contact left usually indicates the face is pointing that way … swing path may be from the outside, but mostly your upper body could be coming through faster than your lower body.
This is my miss and my instructor says I’m, “out of sync.” I’m not as flexible as I used to be and it’s easier for my upper body to turn before my hips do.
Slowing my takeaway and PAUSING at the top, a-la Hideki Matsuyama, helps tremendously. The pause allows your torso to start turning before your upper body. Not only has it straightened my shots, but I’m hitting the ball more solid.
ALSO … for tempo … try the ERNIE ELS trick.
ERNIE on your backswing, ELS on your downswing. 3-1 tempo ratio.
It really works.

film your swing and IT WILL TELL YOU

I’m right handed. When this happens to me it’s usually because my hands got there too quickly causing me to shut the face and be too steep through impact. What works for me is actually TRYING to hit the ball “over my left shoulder.” In order for me to do that I have to open my hips before my hands get there. Sounds weird but the feels of this works for me. Ball goes straight or right to left.

You’re not turning your back all the way.
Try turning more.

OP,
This is weird seeing this because I was having the exact same problem.. after 2 weeks of the best ball striking of my life and shooting my personal best score.
Then overnight I just started pulling everything left without fail. It was soul crushing.
I took a lesson yesterday with my instructor to find out what was going on and it was a super simple fix.. might not be your issue but for me, I had way too much weight during and after my swing going to my toes.
It was making me move my weight toward the ball & subsequently to compensate it was swinging over the top. I was flushing my contact and hitting the ball well but it was dead left.
Weight on your toes/movement toward the ball during your swing also stops your hips from rotating and you will cast your wrists in addition to an over the top/outside in swing plane.
He had me do drills lifting my toes up or curling them when I swing to get my weight back towards the heels (not on the heels) but to be more balanced.
And just like that I started flushing everything down the middle again.
Hope this helps! Hang in there!
