What stands out ?. Offensive scheme, big plays , play calling all of which will be welcomed at LSU !.. However, . ..For several years, they struggled running the ball . They Weren’t very physical up front . Defense was inconsistent, struggled stopping the run & again, not very physical. , especially up front. In a nutshell, everyone is talking about the improvement in our offense, yet Nothing is ever mentioned about us becoming more physical, especially in all phases . So ,the question is why do we think this will change at LSU ?

Better players. The fact LK has done what he has with what he has is pretty remarkable.

Paired with a strong DC, better S&C, and his offensive schemes, I believe he could get his NC title within 2 years.

What do you mean several years? They had one year (last year) that they struggled running the ball because Judkins left them high and dry. Other than that, they’ve always had a really good run game?

The defensive comment doesn’t make sense either. He’s an offensive coach, he lets his DC’s run that side of the ball and they’ve been great on D recently. Their defensive front is actually their strong spot as of late.

What impresses me: Kiffin has a good idea for spotting talent that others don’t, he plays to his guy’s strengths, guy is constantly taking inferior players and getting them to excel in his scheme.

Please watch his teams so you don’t post false statements.

Yes Judkins was a diff maker . And he left as did their ability to run the ball consistently. That doesn’t happen when the mindset is being physical and running the ball consistently. I’m just highlighting what’s NOT being said about Kiffin & ole miss. Better players or not, the culture of a team is what it is . When you watch vandy or Ga tech ? You see lesser talent playing at a higher level across the board . When you watch Bama or Ga play , you see elite talent playing at a higher level.

Ole Miss under Kiffin has been more physical than LSU under BK.

Other than 2024 Ole Miss has been one of the best running teams in the league.

He runs the Art Briles Baylor offense but the changes to headset comms a few years ago make a big difference because he can give QB easy layups because he’s an elite offensive mind.

You are once again not making any sense. Ole Miss is an inferior talent team in the SEC (maybe even at a bigger disadvantage than Ga Tech in the ACC) and they have won at least 10 games the last 4 years.

As far as the run game goes, there was ONE instance where they don’t run the ball well, and that was last year. They are running it down people’s throats with Lacy this year and have done it every year prior.

OLE MISS HAS A MORE PHYSICAL CULTURE THAN LSU DOES CURRENTLY.

I have watched them & therefore I posted truth. Not one person on this board has mentioned anything about how physical, ole miss football has been.it doesn’t take talent for a team to play w intensity. It’s the culture set by the HC. Do I think he’s done a great job? Absolutely!. However, some of the very things we’ve all been disappointed about were going on at ole miss . Think last yr. Ole miss vs LSU .

Watching Kiffin on the sideline, he is a mastermind. He celebrates plays he calls beating the defense just as much has he does the player making the play. He’s out there playing chess, not checkers.

I would never compare Ole Miss talent to that of the upper echelon teams either.

No doubt, but that’s a pretty low bar.

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

Ole Miss:
2,076 Yds 4.6/carry 2025 so far
2,285 Yds 4.6/carry 2024
2,294 Yds 4.3/carry 2023
3,336 Yds 5.4/carry 2022
2,829 Yds 4.8/carry 2021
2,106 Yds 4/carry 2020 (Covid….only 10 games played)

LSU sans Daniels:
1,190 Yds 2025
1,513 Yds 2024
1,525 yds 2023
1,687 yds 2022

That’s pathetic

You’re an idiot. Lacey has 1100 yards and 19 TDs. Ole Miss can run the ball.

You have not posted truth. Everyone has disproven your statements on literally everything you said.

We aren’t a new social inequities group on TD, we don’t care about “your truth”, we care about the truth.

Rushing yard per game:
2021: 217 (LSU only avg 114)
2022: 257 (LSU only avg 184)
2023: 176 (Jayden Daniels year, LSU wins)
2024: 175 (LSU only avg 116)
2025: 188 (LSU only avg 105)

They are a consistently a more physical team and run the ball more effectively with inferior talent. Your points are incorrect.

Absolutely. I’m not questioning his ability on on offense, play calling all of, or his ability to scheme within the game. I’m simply pointing out what hasn’t been said about him or teams he’s coached. I hope the guy comes here & does well. I’m simply raising a question, not bashing another coach . Most “Gunslinger “ or gifted offensive minded HC have teams that a lot score points , but as a complete “Team” are lacking in other areas ,

Yet we have proven that they are indeed NOT lacking in all the other areas.

And LSU has won more championships than ole miss , . Neither of which answers the original question. . Hey , I hope he goes lights out should he be our guy , I asked a simple question.

No doubt, coaching against him would be a competitive challenge. The fact that they’ve been “almost “ one demential has made it easier to beat them. As I mentioned earlier, I absolutely respect his body of work at ole piss , We aren’t ole miss & our bar , our history has mostly been a culture of tough hard nosed football.
