I think it’s very possible sexton has made each school think he’s signing with them on sat to give them the most leverage. If anyone moves on, less leverage.

Why would Sexton want to screw with the schools that lose out?
He’s gonna want to do business with those schools.

How do you think that is going to work for Sexton the next time he has a client negotiating with that school…

Believe or not, there has to be some level of trust in the process. Not saying Sexton isn’t an aggressive negotiator, but if his clients outright lie to multiple schools, he’s going to have a tough time doing his job going forward.

No leverage comes from telling them Lane agreed to the deal. It comes from telling them no decision has been made, it's close, and Sexton thinks it will come down to (take your pick - salary, assistant pool, NIL, private jet, whatever).
