Did somewhat of an Ozark rewatch, but never originally made it to the end. Just got burnt out with the long breaks between season so watched it all from start to finish this month.

Are we done? The could easily continue or have some sort of spin offs with the kids or from the cartel view.

Also, I was hoping they’d all die in the end. Sort of sucks nothing was really ‘fixed’. What was the point of the car crash in the last episode and them coming out unscathed? Heard some takes saying they died and from that point on was a dream…which makes zero sense.

Wendy talks about this in a conversation with the priest, Benitez. She says something like the crash wasn't a warning from God, rather, because they came out unscathed, it was a sign that the Byrdes were going to win and make it out okay.

That was in the finale? Thought that was earlier in the final season. Might need to do a rewatch

I wasn't hoping for that because in the end right or wrong, the plan they put together worked.
I really don't like movies where the main characters go through all of these things, planning, being steps ahead of everyone, the power and the money to control and then it all just vanishes. Good or bad ending i thought it was the right ending. They did what they had to do to get away.
Best other examples would be A Simple Favor and Law Abiding Citizen. The Protagonist was smarter/clever and more diabolical and dedicated to what they needed to accomplish than their counter parts. No way it should have ended the way it did.

Pretty good series but kind of fell off a little when Marty started going to Mexico. Hated Wendy. Hated the boy. Loved Ruth and the rest of the Langmores. Shame they killed Ruth, especially like that.

Hated Wendy

I cannot stand Laura Linney so take this with that in mind but Wendy is worse than Skyler. She cheats, tries to steal Marty's money, and tells the kids about Marty's crimes in the first two episodes alone. Insufferable.

That they are untouchable. That people like them can bend the law and get away with it Scott free. The very last few lines of the show make the subtext clear.

It is an overrated show though. So many plot lines that go absolutely nowhere or mean nothing in the end. It had its high points but it’s nowhere close to shows like BB.

That show started so good and had plenty of potential only to crash and burn the last season.

Wouldn’t say it crashed and burned, just seemed like they ran out of ideas and had to end it somehow so made the last hurdle magically work out…sorta.

This. Also I wish it would’ve ended differently but also I liked the ending because it shows you that sometimes bad people still win.

The show was terrible in the last season and makes me not ever want to rewatch it again

Bateman seems to be another run of the mill Hollywood submissive male these days and I'm not interested in seeing him anymore either
