I haven’t heard any shots. I have skipped the last two weekends. Could really use a freezer filler.

Same. Had a forky come to 10 yards after Primos can. Only action so far other than the army of squirrels around me.

Today made one year since his first kill so he’s convinced he will get a shot before dark.

and finally did around 9:30. Big doe took one to the back of the head.
Rut kicks off about now in Winn and back at it hoping to catch a big one cruising.

After reading a few other reports, I'm starting to question if the rut has really hit here yet. Movement last weekend sucked. Weather, sure. But usually they get dumb and I hear way more shots than I have been. Makes me optimistic for tomorrow (and maybe Friday morning, weekend if needed). I'll sit out there whenever, better than doing other things.

I’m in the middle of Kisatchie and there are hardly any shots. But there are so many deer you can spit on them.
