But if 'Monroe Doctrine' concerns were real, why would President Trump have supported an unvetted 600k strong "college student" (stealth expeditionary force?) of the US? This on top of the vast number already breached during the NGO orchestrations?

The reason is due to Maduro selling oil to China and avoiding the dollar in the trade.
The reason the Russians are involved recently is to bring naphtha in to cut the heavy Venezuela crude to make it easier to transport to China.
