The best part about trading Zion, Herb, Poole, etc. is that the games could be fun again

I had a pretty good time watching Queen and Fears last night.
The behind the back pass from Queen was maybe the best moment in two years for the Pels.
If we get rid of the vets and commit to a rebuild, the pressure of another losing season is gone. You don't care about wins and losses anymore and just focus on rookie growth.
I go back and forth but I think you keep Trey. That gives you 3/5 of your starting lineup set. Keep Peavy, Missi and Karlo too.
Everyone ele can go. Get as much draft capital as you can and find shooters.

Idk how much we’re getting for any of those guys. Especially first round picks. That’s the issue

If we're resetting, you do it right. That unfortunately includes moving the most valuable asset - tm3.
Offensively he's what you want in a 3, but he's not a star. He's also a liability defensively.

quote:the issue is they are a cancer to the team. Get whatever you can just get rid of them. Hopefully with extra salary we can attract players that might actually want to be here

quote:Herb definitely wants to be here but is a weird fit. Also not many quality free agents want to come here. You’re not going to get good players through free agency. Not until we actually look like a good team.

quote:that’s a valid point. I did a quick search and the closest star that’s close to here is Devin Booker , he went to high school in Moss Point Mississippi. Maybe we could throw lots of money at him to be close to home

Not going to happen lol. If we were a contender and won a championship.. maybe.
You’re only getting star players through trades or drafting.

Fears, Queen, and Murphy will look good next to the top pick the Pelicans are sure to get.
I mean no way a GM thought they were a fringe lottery player away.
