The fact that the band comes down the hill 2+ hours before kickoff is asinine.

There was magic in the air to have the band come down the hill, the fans filling in behind them, and all going into the stadium together at the same time.

That atmosphere used to be incredible, and it needs to be fixed.

What do you want them to do? Have team go down 2 hours before and then everyone stand around for an hour for the band?

This is the kind of thing people care about when the team is either doing really well or really bad

We need a dj that overpowers, and interrupts the band to augment the experience.

Also, the fans. We used to yell STTDB much louder in the 70s. True

Once you rid the stadium of infantile fans and the dj youll seem more people want to come back.

Yes. That’s exactly how it used to work. Actually, the crowd would grow larger in anticipation of the band.

I’m pretty sure this was because of BK. They use to do about 1 1/2 hours before kickoff. It got to 2+ hours BKs first year.

That extra 30-45 minutes made it way too early.

True. It's also true that the band used to be worth packing the shite out for

We failed Moorhouse after Wickes retired so badly

They go into the pmac after coming down the hill and put on a show .. they play songs.. cheer squads are there also entertaining…… don’t they go into the stadium after that ..
not sure if this is their schedule every game ?

I think it used to be flipped, so they would perform in the PMAC first, go out the back and then come down the hill.

I also remember when it was a shorter time frame and when TGBFTL passed by and played those "Four Notes", I also remember having to wait in line forever trying to get into TS (Gate 18).

In the early 2000s when the PMAC stuff started, the band would go do their PMAC performance, coming in and out of the back door, then go down the hill. Something changed around 2006 I think.

I don’t know how to fixit and still have all of the elements they currently have. Thst said, there is entirely too much standing around and waiting now, so I just stay and tailgate longer.

It used to be much more organic feeling. No announcing, no piped in music, no
Introductions of different groups. I used to love it but I don't go anymore

Went last weekend for the first time in 2 seasons, unfortunately life got in the way for a couple years.

First time I've seen the announcer and structure. I know when O took over he started the sound system pumping music for the team to come down victory hill but the whole structured count down bs is trash.

The band is literally coming into the stadium now and it's an hour before kickoff.

War in Gaza.
Over 1 million dead in Ukraine.
Riots in Seattle, Portland, and Chicago.
Police recently killed in line of duty.
Drugs flowing onto our shores.
Louisiana students can't read and write at grade level.
LSU is grossly underfunded.
Our infrastructure is horrible.
BUT THE TIMING OF THE BAND IS PARAMOUNT ON YOUR MIND.
