Initially thought we would have to go with kids, but now we're going kidless. The world is our Oyster. Targeting Mardi Gras week so 7 days. Don't want a heavy winter or ski destination.
Considering Greece or Kauai.
What you got?

Hedonism II?
If not, do you have a budget in mind? 7 days makes it a little tougher to travel to Europe unless you're not going to mind all the air travel, jet lag etc.
If it was me, that time of year, would want a fairly warm destination. Not want to waste all my precious time in the air with 16-hour flights each way etc.
Caribbean:
Petit St. Vincent
Sandals - Grenada
Hawaii:
Princeville at Hanalei
Vancouver Island:
Might not be as warm, but we loved staying at the Sooke Harbour House.

Paris.
Every time we have a big anniversary to celebrate we throw ourselves a big party for two in Paris.

If you can go Saturday to Sunday you have 9 days. 2 to travel and 7 to relax. Then Europe is a possibility. Just keep in mind flights from the USA to Europe are usually overnight affairs.
If you can pull this off anything on the Med is fair game. Malaga, Barcelona, Southern Italy, Greece, etc.
If you don't want to cross the pond the Caribbean at an all-inclusive would be fun. However, I think it is still their high season (somebody correct me if I am wrong).

Rio de Janeiro...I lived there for 9 months back in 2012, absolutely an amazing city with so much to see and do. Incredible for a couples getaway.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans 2026: February 17, 2026
Carnival in Rio de Janeiro 2026: February 13–21, 2026
Those overlap if you have that time slot already in mind... Carnival in Rio is Mardi Gras x 10,000... truly a life-changing experience....and it's not even close. Aside from Carnival, here are some solid couples activities.
Iconic Sights
Christ the Redeemer (Corcovado)
Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar)
Selarón Steps (Escadaria Selarón)
Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro
Beaches & Nature
Ipanema and/or Leblon Beach (your eyes will wander, eye candy is 10/10)
Arpoador (great for sunset)
Botanical Garden (Jardim Botânico)
Tijuca National Park (urban rainforest with hiking trails)
Parque Lage (beautiful mansion + gardens)
Cultural & Historic Spots
Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã)
MAR – Rio Art Museum
Santa Teresa neighborhood (hilly, artsy area)
Lapa Arches & nightlife
Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading
Neighborhoods to Explore
Santa Teresa (trams, murals, cafés)
Urca (quiet waterfront; walk the Mureta da Urca)
Barra da Tijuca (modern beach vibe)
Downtown Rio (historic buildings + squares)
Outdoor Experiences
Hike Pedra da Gávea or Pedra Bonita (amazing views; challenging)
Two Brothers Mountain (Morro Dois Irmãos) hike
Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas loop (walk/bike)
Hang gliding from São Conrado
Day Trips / Nearby
Ilha Grande (beautiful picturesque beaches, hikes, waterfalls; Lopes Mendes Beach)
Petrópolis (Imperial city in the mountains)
Niterói (Contemporary Art Museum + quieter beaches)
Búzios (charming beach town, farther but worth an overnight)

I'm in Katy. I remember being in Chile in January one year and it was hot as balls.
