I won’t trust that Lane is our coach until he’s actually on the field for spring ball

I could see him being announced and his first line at the press conference is “go to hell LSU” and he sprints for his car.

He’s either ours or setting up an epic troll while securing bigger financial commitments ole miss.

I would hope we are still going through interviews and due diligence for other potential coaches so we can move quick if this goes south or lane changes his mind.

That would be rough I’d he did that but likely makes him unemployable.

There’s a third option.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed if they think Kiffin is coming to LSU! I believe he’s Florida bound or either it’s all a ploy by the entire OM athletic department to keep LSU and Florida without a coach for as long as they can! I’m really kinda leaning towards the latter. LSU has better start contacting their second choice and get him lined up!

that’s a wild ploy by them to distract all of their players with the media circus over the next week, before one of the biggest games in their long history. A game, that if they win, would likely result in a 1st round home playoff game. That playoff game would have a 40 million dollar impact to Oxford and Ole Miss.

A wild ploy indeed.
