The word "announcement" is key here. He didn't say "decision."

He’s gone. Not sure where, but gone. All Carter talked about was The Egg Bowl and finishing the season in historic fashion. He said nothing about looking forward to a playoff or NC. Kiffin is heading to his new job on Saturday.
