The tank is going to be strong this year. People just refuse to see it. The Pelicans rip off a 4-5 win streak in a soft schedule and all of a sudden, they will be 10th in the standings.

Why would anyone want to be 10 the standings? That is the absolute worst position to be in in the NBA. No real shot to win anything but not bad enough to get a franchise-changing player in the draft.

We don’t have a godamn draft pick. The only thing to root for this year is for us to magically figure it out and go on a run like we did in 2022

In my opinion, if a championship is the goal, Fears and Queen should be the first two picks of the new rebuild and they should start trading players for assets.

We’re going to get Murray back for the 2nd half or the year. Without our 1st, we may as well try and go on a run. I do tend to agree with other posters though, maybe it’s time to ship Z, Herb, and TM3 off and completely reset around Fears and Queen. You could probably get close to 8 or so 1st round picks for those 3 alone.
