A strong non-conference schedule like UConn, South Carolina and Texas?

Because she doesn't push the team hard before the season and uses the early slate to get things figured out.

At this day and age with all the new key players every year, I can see the desire to play relatively easy games while figuring out all the moving parts. Not saying I wouldn’t like to see some games against better competition; just that I understand the reasoning, if that’s even what it is.

Not this again...it has been explained several times. Get a grip!

Do results not matter anymore? 3 national championships at Baylor and 1 at LSU.

You’re right she has no idea what she’s doing. I wish you were our coach.

She developed her scheduling philosophy in a competitive conference and is still in a competitive conference. You don't need Q1/Q2 OOC games if your conference gives you enough Q1/Q2 games.

She has actually explained this in detail numerous times..

She sees preseason as a continued practice time to tune up players and rotations.. her goal is to win a title and entire plan is built around managing the players, team interaction and plays with that goal and worries about being peak performance when sec starts.

I tried summarizing.. my simple minded understanding of her words.

If you watch these early games she’s literally playing every girl on the team. She’s evaluating different lineups, individual players, etc. It’s easier to do this when you are winning by 50.

I didn't question her coaching ability. I don't think scheduling a couple of tough non-conference games would change that. Are you really gonna watch these boring arse blowouts? If so, you should loosen your grip... on your Mom's couch!

Never said "she has no idea what she's doing". Enjoy Alcorn State. And directional U. Great games. Great entertainment.
I'm tired of waiting till January to watch LSU play a decent opponent.

Thanks. I just wish she'd schedule a few more entertaining, tough non-conference games. I think she'd still be fine (sorting out roster/rotation/etc) doing that. The other big time programs do it.

Becuase her 90% winning % and 4 NC’s as a head coach, one as an assistant one as a player an Olympic gold and Naismith hall of fame means she does not know how to win.

I have watched them. Why don't you apply to be the head coach. Some people complain about any and everything.

She’s been on record saying she’s gives her team a ton of time off in the summer and uses the non conference schedule to ramp up for SEC play. Makes a lot of sense when you think about how tired some teams look at the end of the year when it counts.
