I've been one of the main ones racking my brain why Lane would leave a seemingly good situation for him and his family in Oxford past several weeks. I hear money is not an issue and contract can be matched etc. We all know coaches want success and today's new age, that means NIL spending power and promises too.

Please see NIL Rankings below of what i could best find? IF you have a top coach in the country, why have ya'll not backed him up accordingly with the NIL power?

Are ya'll so far below that Kiffin is trying to up this and make Ole Miss play big boy ball or are ya'll so far below that there's no point in Kiffin trying to get Ole Miss to match. Too little too late.

I obviously didn't go to Ole Miss. I now spend a lot of time there. Have a grove spot at the games.

I think there is a chance that LK is getting NIL commitments from LSU and UF to go back to Ole Miss and get an updated NIL commitment.

Just speculation. No sauces. And that is where things could get dicey.

Anecdotal, but the prominent Ole Miss booster I played golf with yesterday said middle of the pack SEC.

Those NIL rankings are crap. Ole Miss is very competitive with NIL - also they have a good reputation for making payroll which not every school can claim.

Nick got hate like no one’s business after he took the Bama job. No one really thinks about that any longer.

“You can have $50 million, but in the current system, you’re not going to be able to use it,” Kiffin said. “You can write a contract and say here’s your rev-share and here’s your NIL, but the NIL is not guaranteed until it gets passed.”

This, to me, suggests that Ole Miss has had a lot of support for donations to NIL, but may not have the same NIL support now that it has to be legitimate and go through the clearing house.
