Anyone going to the show this Friday? Hoping it's great!

I saw them last year at Shaky Knees and they were great. Should be a blast.

Me and the wife will be there. Can’t wait

Will be great. Tickets are super expensive on secondary market.

Is this the tour where they are playing deep cuts only?

Yes, which I’m not crazy about as I’m not too familiar with the set list. Still pumped though just to see them

I'm fairly new to QOTSA, didn't really start listening until about 5 years ago. I've heard a few of those, but yeah I plan on making that playlist to get more familiar with the songs.

Josh Homme has also been in a lot of side projects so the catalogue he could draw from is pretty large.

If you watch the recording of the Austin City Limits set from last night, you will see what this is about.
The songs are all stripped down to just acoustic, no distortion, no full drum kit, etc.
You aren't going to see a "kick arse" QOTSA show you are used to. This will be very mellow with Homme only picking up an instrument once or twice.
