If Ole Miss really gave Lane a deadline, he would be dumb to sign with LSU or UF right now

Per my friends who are major OM boosters the ultimatum is not sign the extension or be fired. It is sign the extension or we are pulling the offer. What to do if he says no but does not immediately leave has not been decided yet. They are furious with him for not shutting down the rumors and swearing unyielding and unquestioning loyalty to the Sip.

They wouldn’t fire him. They would just pull his extension offer and start looking for another coach.
