Hindsight is what it is but man just a change in QB's at any point earlier in the season could have been a MAJOR improvement in LSU's record. We had chances to beat Ole Miss, Ala, and Vandy w the way our defense played in those games - especially in 4th qtr. Offensively we were anemic mainly b/c Nuss was ineffective (i.e. hurt). The long run by Van Buren in 4th qtr on Sat. against Ark. was proof enough for me. He also made some accurate throws far down the field and he also helped open up the running game. Those 2 things were missing all season. Offensive line was pushing Arky defensive line down the field BIG time on that last drive. Kelly should have made the move but didn't. Cost him his job and legacy. Sad.

Miss and Vandy absolutely. aTm no, bama maybe.

I think we’d be 8-2 had he been playing the whole time.

WRONG...this O line is horrible. VAN Buren BARELY put up DECENT seats against the WORST DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE. He was inaccurate..only thing he did better than Nuss was run

We BARELY beat Arkansas at home with MVB. I don't think he is a big upgrade from what Nuss has been this year. But maybe we win one of either OM or Vandy with him at QB, maybe.

I’m not sure. He did about on par as Nuss did against those teams and Arkansas had by far the worst defense

Agree. Arkansas is terrible (125 ranked defense) and was allowing 38 PPG against SEC competition. And this is not a knock on MVB. This is a poorly coached offense with crappy scheme that is magnified by the worst OL this century.

No to all 4. We just scored a whopping 23 points on the worst defense in the SEC.

Wait until you figure out that MVB put up better stats than Nuss did in all but 2 games this year.

We’ll never know. Try not dwell in the past, it’s not healthy.

A better chance yes. Refs in Alabama game would have still kept us from winning.

He knows this. He’s taking it with a grain of salt because the only defense we faced worse than Arkansas’s is Southeastern’s.

We might have had a better chance against Vandy, but what we saw yesterday proved that our offense is just plain bad.

We had to scratch and claw to get 23 points against the worst defense in the SEC. 23 points!

It all goes back to the O-line. Because it is so bad, we can only do so much.

Joey B and Jayden would have a hard time scoring points with this playbook and offensive line.
