We just sent one hell of a gunboat for gunboat diplomacy. Will it be a few strikes or will every cartel site known get hit simultaneously?

The arrival of the USS Gerald R. Ford marks a major moment in what the Trump administration says is a counterdrug operation but has been seen as an escalating pressure tactic against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. The U.S. has asserted that Maduro is complicit with armed criminal gangs that smuggle drugs into the U.S., allegations that Maduro has rejected. And over the last two months, the U.S. military has conducted strikes against at least 22 vessels it alleges were ferrying drugs from South America to the U.S., killing at least 83 people.
"Through unwavering commitment and the precise use of our forces, we stand ready to combat the transnational threats that seek to destabilize our region," Adm. Alvin Holsey, commander of U.S. Southern Command, said Sunday in a statement announcing the USS Ford's arrival in the Caribbean Sea.

Shhhhhhh. We supposed to keep that quiet. Regardless, this is the real deal and once done a huge sense of relief will sweep across America. Too many people have died as a result of illegal drugs.

Yep. POTUS Trump met with Xi recently and POTUS Trump is aware of China's investments in the region. Xi offered concession but no concession will replace the damage that has already been done to our society.
It will be extremely emotional for so many here in America when this business is shut down. One of the best uses of our military in my lifetime I do believe.

DJT reeled in support from Tulsi and RFK on the basis there would be no regime change wars. I'm fine with Fox boomers wanting to go to war with the rest of the world, but it's strange to see younger people support this.

The carrier isn’t there for a regime change. It’s there to interdict the cartels’ drug and gun smuggling operations into the US. We don’t need to send in troops to remove Maduro. The people will take care of that if the regime becomes cash strapped.
