Can someone explain why Arkansas went for two on their last drive?

They got it, but that doesn’t mean the decision made any sense at the time.

They could still beat us with a field goal if they had kicked the extra point m.

So if Arkansas would’ve kicked another fg, it would’ve been a 2 score game

Put them up by 6 against a team that kicks a lot of field goals. Being up 5 is the same as being up 4

We’d kicked 3 FGs, maybe they were looking to go up 6 points.

It put them up 6. A TD ties and if they miss the XP then it’s a tie.

As others said, no benefit to being up 5 instead of 4.
