Great show but same setlist for Acid Bath & no surprises. Mastodon was great as usual. Power Trip came in & destroyed the place. I like the new singer better than Riley even though I doubt that is a popular opinion. It was about 75% full & I think that’s because ticket prices were ridiculous. Crowd was into it.

Acid Bath was scheduled to play until 11 but ended 20 minutes early. At least they had lights and a video screen this time.
I've seen Power Trip with Riley and this show was a lot better. They had the best set of the night. Soilent Green and Mastodon were great too. Amigo the Devil was out of place on this show. That spot would have been better filled by another local band. Crowbar, EHG, or Exhorder would have fit in much better

Agreed on Amigo the Devil. It should have been another heavier local band. Electric/Acoustic folk is just not my thing. He is like someone you would see in a dive bar in Austin.

I have known the Power Trip guys since the band started playing. Makes me happy to hear they had the best set of the night, but not surprised at all. From seeing them play DIY venues like 1919 Hemphill in Fort Worth to like 20 people or less in 2008 2009 in the beginning to now now playing arenas.
My friend Seth has been around the Texas hardcore scene for easily 15 plus years and he was the first one I thought of who could take over vocals.
