There is a reckoning coming in the Catholic Church. Young priests are extremely conservative. The boomers will pass and while their power structure will remain in place for another decade, after that their attempts to use post modernism to destroy the church will be dead.

The corrupt people at the top levels will keep promoting other corrupt people.

If that were the case the church would not have survived 2,000 years. This is a bad era the church will recover. There was essentially an entire generation that leaned into post modernism and it will take time to clear that out.
This is especially true in the United States.
This isn’t politics. Their selection pool are people that devoted their entire lives to Christ. Most of these people have committed their lives to poverty as well. It isn’t like DC where you can eventually buy them or get them in bed with a hooker. The good far outweigh the bad, I would argue at a rate of 99/1. (If not significantly more)
You just have to give time to wait out an extremely liberal generation of priests. Francis was the peak, we are now on the backside of the mountain and things will slowly get better. Leo won’t be perfect but anything to the right of Francis is a win with the voting blocks Francis created.

Holy moly that's whole lot of moral payoff. May just be me and my lowly Prot-ness, but this definitely isn't a good look from "the first church".
The Catholic church wants to destroy America.

The Catholics helped many high level Nazi's escape Europe late during WWII.
Got them fake documents through the Red Cross.
Most went to South America leaving from Italy.

frick them sideways.
I say that as a life-long Roman Catholic.

The Catholic Church is extremely corrupt and always has been. Not long after COVID hit it was discovered that they held bank accounts for the mafia and essentially were helping them traffick drugs. And now we see they've been dabbling in human trafficking as well.
Yay, go Catholicism! I can't wait to see this thread devolve into a religious debate and watch people defend the Catholic Church.

Why I say a lot that they helped destroy Latin America over the last century, and now working on us.

Churches should beware of partnerships with soulless government.

First of all, it's not been 2,000 years. Stop trying to make it sound like the Catholic Church has been around since Christ. It hasn't. Secondly, the church has always been corrupt. Always.

It most certainly has
And name me an institution run by humans that isn’t corrupt.

So here it is. "It's ok for people who pretend to speak on behalf of God almighty to be corrupt because everyone else does it."

Where did I say that? I didn’t excuse the corruption. The politics that streamed down from Francis has had personal impacts on my parish in Houston. It’s disgusting.
But the idea that the Catholic Church should be completely discredited because of some corruption is laughable seeing as every institute in the history of mankind has faced internal corruption.

It's like our justice system.
It's the finest in the world.
The only problem it has is that it is run by humans.

Can the Catholic Church be corrupt on someone else’s border?

It doesn't stem from Francis. Again, it has always been extremely corrupt. In fact, it was Francis who ordered the audit of the Vatican bank after COVID when it was discovered that the bank was holding accounts for the mob. This isn't some new phenomenon, as much as you wish it were.

Well you are the worst kind of corrupt because you rob taxpayers like the government does.

So when was the Catholic Church first founded?

I agree.
Yes they have been corrupt. Pope Leo X tried to shake down the pheasants on selling indulgences to raise money for St. Peter's Basilica. This lead the Martin Luther's movement. Plus they kept the lower class from seeing the scriptures first hand.
I heard the CC had land in Vietnam and was supportive of the War at first in fear of losing their land.
