1. He has an image brand that I think still reaches to young kids and a personality that excites
2. He’s well connected on many levels of football
3. He’s an offensive minded coach that has had time to study and keep up a new age football
4. He shouldn’t NEED to command top dollar pay w his lawsuit against nfl going well. You’d think he’d want to do this for the experience and putting his stamp on a top level program in the country
5. We have pieces in place to assist w recruiting and nil to not miss a beat
6. We just need a 4-6 year run to set up next guy. Doesn’t need to be a 8-12 year commitment
7. Be a better version of Brian Kelly that wants to work and actually put in the program hours. Put gas in the lsu engine and let that bitch roar.

gruden was always a mid coach that won big with Dungys guys one time and then never did anything else. why in gods name are people still saying this shite twenty years after hes been relevant?

8. Stop beating this dead horse for the 20th year in a row. LSU never had and never will consider hiring Jon Gruden. It baffles me how his name is still being brought up to this day.

Could also finally get Jerry Rice to come be the receivers' coach after all these years of talking about it. Jack Del Rio would also follow and take the DC job.

yes. And he didn’t say it as negative. He just said he had big arse lips. You decide if he’s correct or not.

Gruden should never be mentioned again. However, why was Mike Tomlin’s name brought up when he in fact won with Bill Cowher’s players and hasn’t won a playoff game in a decade?

I never heard Tomlins name brought up, that is really weird, but I believe you that someone floated that just because people are ridiculous. Why would he be interested.

The case against: Just look at North Carolina.

And remember that Belichick was more successful and had less of a layoff than Gruden.
