This might be extreme but perhaps after such 'foul', it gets reviewed immediately after. And if it is confirmed that it's a 'flop' the team that 'flopped' loses a timeout or that player is forced to sit for the half or that the team that got 'called' for the foul gets like 3 free throws.
I'm not a basketball fan and one of the reasons why I can't get into it is the 'flopping' that happens.

Just go back to calling the game they way they did in 1995. You can hand check, being bumped in the lane isn't a foul, and all that bullshite "gather" walking starts being a walk again. They also need to either move the 3 point line back 5 feet or get rid of it completely.
But alas, they are going the other way with this high five rule.
