The TAF should tell Landry to stop the meddling or the state can hire the next the HC.

The TAF is responsible for paying the buyout, and the next coaches salary. This situation will cost the TAF much more because no top tier coach is coming now for anything less than $10M per season, and will want much more, plus guarantees on the backend. The BK debacle will make Lane's/Sexton's contract demands probably closer to $15M per year. Landry isn't going to be putting a dime towards the next coaches salary.
Offering BK $30 M when he's owed $53 M is asinine. Offer $43 M, he takes a $10 M cut, which is one year of salary, to end this drama that's damaging both BK and the LSU brand.
Otherwise the TAF, should refuse to provide any compensation towards hiring the next coach. Let Landry run his own shite show coaching search if he desires.

The TAF has zero say whatsoever now that they can't deliver the buyout money and the state is on the hook for it. If taxpayers pay one cent of that buyout the TAF should be dissolved.
Kelly is suing the state not TAF or LSU. TAF isn't mentioned once. They are irrelevant now and nobody should take them seriously again.

Where do you see the TAF being involved with anything in the past couple weeks? Once it became known they don't have the money lined up that's why the Gov got involved. The state is on the hook for that money that's why Kelly is suing the state not the TAF.

They cant deliver a buyout not knowing the terms that haven't been settled upon. How much? How many installments? Etc. Landry's involvement of ordering the BOS to explore firing for cause after the fact, is leading to BK playing hardball. Landry needs to get out of the way now.
