We could’ve had Queen and a top 5-6 pick, but hey, it was a great trade if you ask certain people.

After witnessing Kira Lewis, Jaxson Hayes and Jordan Hawkins and now seeing Queen. I could care less anymore. I’m just happy we got a player who looks like a NBA player. Everyone said this year draft was weak and look at how most of them are performing.

That’s why it was a dumb trade, the trade up itself was great, not putting protection on the pick was the idiotic thing.

And the pacers first should have had some protection thrown on it.
The pacers were in the finals when they made that deal. Hard for to believe a 1-4 protection just cause would have killed that trade.

I’m talking about the recent draft. Everyone said it was top heavy with it being just Flagg, Harper and Edgecombe.
Fears, Coward, Kon, Queen, CMB, Kalkbrenner, Tre Johnson, Will Richard, Drake Powell looks good also.

Pacers pick was already top 4 protected when we received it.
We wouldn’t have Queen without getting that 2nd pick in last draft so I’ll call that a wash.
Our pick definitely should have had protections though, we could have done a setup like this and Atlanta still accepts IMO
2026 Top 10 protected if pick doesn’t convey then its a 2027 Top 4 protected if pick doesn’t convey then it’s unprotected in 2028
