He has been around the program for 40+ years. He knows the type of person it will take to win consistently here.
Is anyone intrigued knowing you have a football-focused AD hiring a new coach? He has a lot riding on this hire.
National guys all said Verge is respected by coaches & agents.

Woodward never played football despite trying to cosplay as a coach
The only pedigree Scott has is getting on his knees for Trace & Sexton so he brag to his country club friends about “Big hire!”

Peterson good
Sark-hired him while he was a drunk.
Jimbo- gave the man a buyout so big it would still have had $30 million on it at the time of his firing without the extension after he went 5-6 at FSU

I made this thread about Verge, but people here are still getting on their knees defending Scott.
If Scott was from Hammond, no one here would care about him.

Verge shouldn’t be employed but has enough dirt to be untouchable. Not sure someone that condones sexual assault should be leading the athletics department.
