Going in January. Any recommendations on golf?

I have played Punta Espada and Corales. Enjoyed both. Rented clubs at each and they weren’t in very good shape amd the caddies didn’t seem to really care to be out there and weren’t very good at reading putts. After about the fifth time of me hitting right where he said and missing the putt I just used them to fill divots and keep me hydrated and give me yardages/meters. Both courses were pricey but well worth it.

I played corales a few years back and it was fun. Mostly the holes near the water and it was in great shape
Luckily, I was there on a work trip so they footed the bill. It was pretty pricey iirc

Punta Espada was a great layout. When I went I played by myself and was able to finish in an hour and a half. Played crazy fast.

Teeth of the Dog is the best course on the Island right?
I played in 10 years ago on my honeymoon and loved it.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I will take my chances with rental clubs since I will only get to play once (through the grace of the wife).

Definitely play La Cana. I believe they have 3 9s; make sure you play the one along the Caribbean.
You'll thank me later; the course is in great shape and the scenery is breathtaking. I played there last December.
